For nearly a decade, I’ve been sharing my swirling thoughts in Coalition Snow’s weekly newsletter, Lady Parts. What a joy it’s been to grow that community to more than 20,000 strong, to read your responses to my musings, to co-evolve through the written word.

It’s taken me years to get here, a place where I realize that neither a weekly e-mail nor my Instagram is a container quite big enough for what I’d like to share with you. I also have found clarity in what it is that I dive deeply into: Redefining Radical.

Who decides what is normal and acceptable? How do we choose to fall in line, or rather fit inside of the tiny box? What are the consequences of going along to get along?

I've been asking myself these questions for quite some time. As someone labeled radical, extra, and too much, I regularly reflect on how I perceive this world and choose to move through it.

What I've been coming back to is that our perception of radical is wildly problematic.

What is radical:

- The number one killer of kids in this nation is guns and we've yet to enact any meaningful legislation to protect them.

- While many of us are struggling with the rising cost of basic nutrition like eggs and fresh vegetables, Chanel is reporting record sales.

- Major retailers like Target are pulling Pride Month items off their shelves because of the confrontational behavior that has made it unsafe for their employees to come to work.

- A former president who plans on running again was found liable for defamation in lying about sexually abusing a woman, and yet he still continues to mar her.

- Amanda Gorman's poem "The Hill We Climb" was banned from elementary schools in Florida.

It's time to redefine and reclaim radical as our current definition clearly does not serve us.

I'm inviting you to do this with me, in this interactive space that will ideally leave you with both an expanded sense of self and an opportunity to be a part of creating a new reality that serves us in ways we never thought possible.
